About Katya Fishman: Katya Fishman has been engaged in the study of astrology for fifteen years. Her reverence for both the art and science of astrology has led her to rigorous study with Glenn Perry through his Astropsychology diploma programme, one of the only astrology programs that has been offered at the university level in the country. With 10+ years running a storytelling and production company, she is in a unique position to parse out the underlying narratives in her client’s lives. Navigating a serious autoimmune condition since turning 21 has put her in a unique position to help people find meaning through transforming deep struggles and challenges; she strongly believes that astrology is one of the best tools to do so. Her astrology practice is informed by Mythology, Depth psychology, Narrative Therapy, Yoga, Ayurveda, and various spiritual paths.

While firmly grounded in horoscopic astrology’s 2000 year tradition, it builds on this foundation by incorporating concepts from depth psychology, the perennial philosophy, and general systems theory. Jung’s archetypal model is a central thread, but AstroPsychology borrows from other schools of thought, too, including psychodynamic theory and developmental psychology. Rather than looking to the heavens for predictions, Astropsychology is about looking at the natal chart to better understand ourselves in order to become integrated human beings—the chart embodies the maxim “as above, so below.” You will learn about the nature of your specific challenges and growth experiences and what potential hidden flourishings lay hidden within them.
